​Born and raised in Oxford, NC, he is the son of Naomi Heggie and the late John Heggie — a heritage that shaped his heart for faith, family, and community.

A spiritual son of Bishop T.D. Jakes, Bishop Heggie carries a mantle of leadership shaped by faith, tested by life, and proven through decades of ministry. For nearly 30 years, he has preached the Gospel with power and clarity — calling people to purpose, healing, and wholeness.

He serves as the Senior Pastor of Transformation Church in Oxford, NC — a ministry committed to raising disciples, empowering families, and impacting the next generation. As the Presiding Bishop of the United Covenant Fellowship, he provides apostolic covering, leadership, and mentorship to churches across North Carolina, Virginia, and New Jersey.
